As a base we are called to release the supernatural power of God and empower our students to live a life of miracles. Each year we run a Supernatural DTS where a group of people hungry for God gather to chase after God together. YWAM Staff who want an increase of the supernatural power and miracles in their lives are welcome to join us during these seasons of increased prayer and supernatural ministry. We all started bright eyed,
excited and full of expectation on the 3rd of July. 11
Students and
4 Staff from four different continents.
We had hopes of encountering the person of Jesus, being touched, changed
and
transformed by His love. We had desires of experiencing His power,
healing and
deliverance for ourselves and for others. Were we disappointed?.... NO!
A lot of things happened, too
many to be written in this account, but here follows some brief
highlights out
of my perspective:
Physical Healings
We saw many, many physical
healings of all kinds. The most I have ever seen in my life. The
highlight was
when our school went to the small town of Welkom for a week of ministry
and
outreach at the local Methodist Church (great church and leaders!).
Every night
we taught on spiritual gifts and we prayed for the sick most of the
nights. God
showed up and displayed His glory. Here we were a bunch of willing ones,
not
that experienced in healing, but we saw over 35 healings in 5 days. WOW!
Here
are the two most amazing ones:
Brain Tumor Healed
One
older woman came forward one night and explained that she had a brain
tumor for
many months now and was due for checkup and surgery that week. She asked
for
prayer. Monday and Tuesday we prayed for her, where she somehow ended up
on the
floor after about one minute of prayer and she would be there for the
next half
hour on the floor. "What's that all about I wondered?". Come thursday
night, she came up front telling of her
visit to the doctor and she showed here X-ray: NO MORE BRAIN TUMOR! Wow.
God is
great. |

One of the other nights Gayla
(From the USA) was standing at the back of the church, asking God, "God
who do you want to touch?". Her attention was drawn to a man and she
suddenly saw something like a flash of an angel behind the man. She saw
the
angel touching the man in the neck region. After the service was
finished she
approached the man and told him what she saw. He said he has suffered
from a
crooked spine for since birth, and he regularly experienced ' suicide-headaches'
which was almost unbearable. He told her that he really wanted to come
forward
for prayer that night, but that he was tired of receiving prayer and he
said to
God that he wants somebody to come to him that night. That is exactly
what
happened! Gayla and her husband Darren prayed for him and he was
COMPLETELY
healed! Amazing! The next day he said the headaches were gone. |

All
of us involved with the school saw God heal, touch and bring healing to
experiences of our pasts. One great tool taught and experieced is
"Theophostic Prayer Ministry". Through this form of counselling
prayer all of us saw God touch and bring healing to different areas in
our
lives, I urge you to research this method. God uses it big time! One of
our
students testified that through this type of prayer God healed him of a
hurt he had been carrying for more than 7 years.
Everyone's life was touched
by God and everybody changed in some degree. Some changed more noticable
than
others though. One of students came in down, quiet, angry, bitter and
hopeless.
At the end of the shool, we wonder: "Is this the same person?". She
is now loud, happy, joyful and full of hope. When you ask her she starts
telling you about all that God said to her and what happened. God is
awesome,
He is in the restoration business of every hurt, disappointment and
failure, He
will do it for you too! |

During the school, we saw God
provide for everybody school fees and outreach fees. I personally was
challenged and amazed how He provides.
For
our outreach to South-East Asia each person needed roughly R12 000. When
I
first heard this number, I had no idea how I and the rest of the team
would
raise this amount. However, as time went on the money started coming in,
bit by
bit. The biggest amount was when we were serving at a local conference.
The
conference organizers took up a joint offering for the conference for us
and we
received a whopping R32 000 for our outreaches. WHOA! God is amazing.
Then as
we were leaving for outreach, somehow everybody had enough.
Even during the outreaches we were
still short of some funds, but then somebody donated R10 000 to the
school
which we used to finish our outreaches. God is good! He will provide for
you as
you step out and ask in faith.
Final Words
Yes, the school was a great
experience. Bumpy, sometimes up, sometimes down, but God was in it all.
Thank
you God for everything you taught us, everything you did, thank you for
all of
the grace, love, mercy and power you poured out on us.
It was all because of Him,
through Him and for Him. He wants to do the same in your life, just go
ahead –
ask Him.
We love you Jesus!
With a big smile

It's amazing how open you can be for God to fill you and
work through you. Laying hands on the sick and they will recover is a
promise and it was awesome watching Him use me.
One night I was told to go pray for a lady that was
waiting her turn to be prayed for. I was happy I had no one else to pray
for so I came to her, asked her her name, and what she needs prayer
for. By the looks of her I thought she would need prayer for strength:
She was older and I was prepared to bless her with some encouraging
words and what not. However, she told me she had a tumour in her brain.
My eyes got big. I could feel my stomach drop. Never the less, I kept
smiling. My first sentence was: “God, how do I pray?" I knew I was
broken and I could do nothing in and of myself, but that it's through
Him. He had the answer and the cure. I started to pray, being lead by
the Holy Spirit and down she went, hitting the floor with a "BANG". Her
eyes began to twitch and shake rapidly along with her arm.
Later on that night I saw her and asked her how she
felt. She said in a peaceful voice; "My head feels like mush." I asked:
"Does it hurt, or is "mush" a good thing?". She said she has peace. I
knew then that God was at work. From Francois testimony you can see that
others also prayed for her during that and the following day. Well 3
days after I prayed for her, she gave the testimony that the doctors
could no longer find the large tumour in her brain. It's completely
gone!

Another time, I was praying before a service and God
showed me a picture of a women’s hand and I heard the words Arthritis. I
saw a red shirt and brown shoulder-length hair. After the service, I
looked around the room and there were 4 ladies dressed in a red jacket,
but there was only one with the colour hair description. I told myself I
can start there and if it's not her then move to the next one. So I
approached her asking: "Do you have any pain in your right hand due to
arthritis?" She said:" You know I have this horrible pain in my right
arm though." I said: "That will do!!" I thought as long as it's on the
right arm, maybe I was a little off in hearing God. I had her come up to
the front of the room and by then everyone else was drinking coffee or
tea and eating cake. None the less, I pushed through the noise and asked
her what was wrong with her arm. She said she had a torn tendon. I
commanded the healing and for the Kingdom of God to come on her arm.
After a couple of minutes, I ask how she felt. She looked at me with a
twinkle in her eye and said: "fine". Enthusiastically I asked her: "How
fine is fine? Is it 100%? What can you do that you couldn't do before?"
She then began to lift her arm above her head and stretch it forward.
She looked at me and smiled: "It's good". As we started to go our
separate ways she stopped, turned and grabbed my arm: "You know I do
have this horrible pain in my right hand. My thumb has arthritis". She
explained to me more confidently. I smiled: "Praise God, You're so Good
Lord!" I took her hand and prayed for it. God showed me some words of
knowledge concerning struggles she had with stairs, and that they were
hard on her knees and that she struggled opening jars. I spoke life into
those areas. When finished, she was completely whole. She wasn't even a
member of the church. God opened the doors to get her there. "Trust the
God voice in side of you!" That's one thing I learned along with the
fact that we have the kingdom of God in us. God works through us to
display the miraculous. He needs us.
